Abstract: |
A watching brief on the construction of an apartment block revealed the upper fill of the town ditch. The Southampton to Salisbury canal was dug into the ditch fills. Part of a building associated with this timber yard was found. The line of a medieval road, Lower Canal Walk, to the east of the development was also investigated. [Au(abr)] |
