Abstract: |
The excavation clearly defined the position of the Havedyke which was aligned north-south across the central area of the site, immediately to the west of properties fronting the High Street. The excavation found waterlogged deposits within the ditch and within other features to its east. The deposits within the Havedyke were archaeologically rich in dating evidence and were considered likely to provide important environmental archaeological evidence. [Au (adp)] |
