Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation, consisting of the excavation of four trial trenches, was undertaken in advance of the determination of planning permission for the creation of a footpath and play area. The trenches were targetted across a banjo enclosure identified from geophysical survey and air photographs. Pottery recovered from the surface of some of the features dated from the Iron Age. Other features included the remains of medieval furrows and modern land drains. [Au(adp)] |
