Abstract: |
The evaluation involved the machine excavation of sixty metres of trench which uncovered eight features of late medieval to post-medieval date. These were all pits apart from one possible gully terminal. Two pits in trenches 1 and 2 have been dated to the mid 15th-16th centuries, and area though to have been used for the disposal of domestic rubbish, as other features, although pits were of unclear function but were also thought to be post-medieval in origin.
