Abstract: |
Evaluation trenching prior to a proposed wood planting scheme uncovered occasional scattered features dating from the Early Anglo-Saxon to the post-medieval periods. The most significant of these features was a large pit on the north edge of the eastern field which contained domestic rubbish dated to c.6th century that could possibly be interpreted as an Early Anglo-Saxon sunken featured building. Evidence for the earlier landscape was also found. [Au(abr)] |
