The abstract describing the content of the publication or report
Abstract:		 Archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken during the construction of a large yoga gazebo. Observation of a number of foundation pads revealed the presence of post-Roman peat deposits and alluvium in the southern part of the site, associated with the river Lea to the south. No archaeological features were recorded on the site. Sparse residual pottery sherds of Romano-British date were recorded from the peat deposits, indicative of activity in the general area. The latter was noteworthy, given that only small-scale Romano-British remains were known from the area of the later town of Hertford. [Au(abr)]
