Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was undertaken during groundwork for a university related development. Middle to Late Bronze Age, Roman and post-medieval pottery was recovered. Features consisted of a middle Saxon shallow feature, possibly a hearth, a post-medieval well containing ceramic building material and 16th-18th century pottery, and a trackway with 15th and 16th century associated finds. Environmental samples were also taken. [AIP] |
