Abstract: |
The evaluation was carried out in advance of a planning application from the Forestry Commission for a proposed redevelopment scheme. The results of trial trenching indicated that the buildings which previously stood on the site had been thoroughly demolished and any below ground archaeology was not present in either of the trenches. Trench one encountered only demolition material, which had been used for landscaping and in trench two the rubble lay directly over the natural substrata. [Au(adp)] |
