Abstract: |
The development site was situated in the north east corner of the parish of Wick and consisted of two fields which had, according to documentary sources, been used as open farmland, mainly for pasture, throughout the medieval period. The combined documentary and archaeological evidence for the site and its immediate environs presented a picture of limited potential for earlier archaeological occupation other than the 19th century sub-divisions. A watching brief programme was recommended during development. [AIP] |
