Abstract: |
A magnetometer survey was undertaken across four areas along the route of the proposed River Misbourne ALF. Two small groups of anomalies could be seen in areas 1 and 2 which were thought to be buried ferrous metal objects. Area 3 contained a scatter of anomalies thought to be metallic debris and a larger positive magnetic anomaly probably caused by a buried metal object. Area 4 contained two scatters of anomalies, also interpreted as buried ferrous metal debris. The report concluded that very little evidence was found for archaeological remains in any of the four areas surveyed. [Au(adp)] |
