Abstract: |
The site was surveyed initially with magnetic susceptibility to locate areas of enhancement to be targeted with detailed magnetometry. Three areas were chosen, two of which targeted enhancement and the third was used as a control to test an area of low susceptibility. A number of anomalies were detected which were interpreted as cut features of possible archaeological significance together with discrete anomalies of possible thermoremnant responses. A negative anomaly was also located in Area 1, which may have been associated with the remains of an earthwork. [Au(adp)] |
