Abstract: |
A desk-based assessment was undertaken in advance of a proposed development. The tithe map of 1838 depicted a building in the southern part of the site which appeared to have been demolished in the late 19th century when the site was developed. The general area at this time was developed as a result of an expanding trade and industry, in part facilitated by the construction of the railway which was constructed in the area. A further watching brief confirmed there were no archaeological features within the site. [Au(adp)] |
