Abstract: |
No known archaeological sites or findspots of individual artefacts occurred within the area of proposed development. However a number of archaeological finds had been made relatively close to the site. Palaeolithic stone tools, Romano-British pottery, a medieval well, a 'celtic' field system and an air raid shelter had all been located which highlighted the need for an archaeological evaluation during development work.
