Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation was undertaken on the site of the former St Edmund's Works factory located in central Norwich on the north bank of the Wensum. Two trenches were excavated, both close to the Fishergate Street frontage. Evidence of a post-medieval flint-built building and earlier medieval rubbish pits was found in Trench 3. A mortared flint structure (an east-west wall) of post-medieval date and remnants of an associated floor were recovered from Trench 4. [Au] |
