Abstract: |
The evaluation revealed the presence of archaeological deposits in eleven trenches, the majority of which were located in the north-eastern part of the site. The features encountered included shallow ditches and pits which appeared to be of later prehistoric date. The features excavated were not deep, and were thought to represent a field system. Some of the ditches and pits contained significant amounts of pottery. In the far south of the site, one pit was located which produced several sherds of medieval pottery.[Au(abr)] |
