Abstract: |
Three trial trenches were excavated. A linear post-medieval feature ran the length of trench one. In trench three, one post-medieval post hole cut the current subsoil which overlaid a Roman subsoil. The abraded and sparse nature of finds in the Roman subsoil indicated it may have been cultivated and therefore this was the site of Roman fields. No features relating to the Roman period were found nor did the site contain any evidence of medieval activity. [Au(abr)] |
