Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the groundworks associated with the construction of the Sheerness Inner Relief Road. Limited remains dating from the 19th-century were recorded, comprising four domestic cess pits, a brick lined well and a short section of possible narrow gauge railway. The complete absence of earlier remains was perhaps due to significant modern truncation over much of the proposed route.[Au(abr)] |
