Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of a pipe trench. No archaeological features or artefacts were observed. It was noted that much of the site area had not been fully inspected, due to the lack of an easement strip cleared of topsoil, and because some of the work had been carried out prior to monitoring visits. However, the ground disturbance involved had been very small, so that it was considered unlikely that any major archaeological features woud have been entirely destroyed.
