Abstract: |
There was demonstratable evidence that a considerable amount of archaeology survived in the vicinity of the site. This was especially true of the prehistoric, Romano-British, Anglo-Saxon, medieval and post-medieval periods. Due to the proximity and potential for archaeology in the area of the study (including one findspot within the proposed development) the likelihood of disturbing in situ archaeology was considered high.
