Abstract: |
Evaluation involving documentary research and trenching where construction of a golf course would damage sub-surface layers was undertaken. A probable medieval isolated farmstead was identified, with post-holes, pits and ditches concentrating in one area. Other ditches were not dated. Finds of prehistoric flint and pottery in one area suggested even earlier activity. [AIP] |
