Abstract: |
Fifteen trenched were excavated on the site of the proposed Arsenal F.C. training ground. The investigation revealed a deeply ploughed topsoil mostly directly overlying very varied natural deposits of sand, gravel and clay. A small number of features were uncovered, including pits, postholes and two linear ditches. The latter may have represented prehistoric field boundaries. [Au(adp)] |
