Abstract:
An evaluation was carried out in advance of the extension of a pallet storage facility. A series of substantial ditches were discovered, which in conjunction with a number of pits, post-holes and gullies containing pottery from the Saxon to the late medieval period, and a timber structure suggested a rural domestic site, in need of drainage, with Saxon origins.
