Abstract: |
This report documents the results of a research project carried out by students on an area thought to have contained archaeological evidence for a fish weir and associated structures. The project identified that there were three stages of construction and use of this site described as a 'lower fish weir', a 'higher fish weir' and 'middle basket trap structures'. The site contained preserved wattle and worked wood. The area was known to have been the site of a salt works and the fish traps could have been associated with this. Suggestions for future research on this site were made. [AIP] |
