Abstract:
The watching brief revealed the Norman foundations of the church and also the foundations of a previously unrecorded chapel adjoining the chancel of the church. More was learnt about the 14th century extensions to the chancel which had only been previously known about in documentary sources. An earlier structure was also revealed which was of probable late Saxon date. [Au(abr)]
