| Abstract: |
A desk-based archaeological study and related trial excavation/metal detecting survey ahead of the redevelopment of the site revealed limited remains in two of the fifteen proposed trenches. A large feature, at first though to be part of the Car Dyke, was found to be a large pit containing several fragments of glass and pottery, including a couple of large fragments of glazed red earthen-ware post-medieval pottery. The small pit that was found in trench 12 contained no finds. [Au(adp)] |
