Abstract: |
An archaeological desk-based assessment was undertaken of the site of the proposed reservoir at Hanbury Manor Golf Course. The assessment revealed that the site, which now comprised a small coppice, was, until the 18th century, part of the open fields at the edge of Ware Rural parish, but was incorporated into the landscaping scheme of Hanbury Manor, formerly known as Poles, during the 19th century. No archaeological sites were known from within or close to the assessment area. [Au(adp)] |
