Abstract: |
The report concluded that the study area produced evidence for general prehistoric activity although no specific concentrations indicative of settlement were identifiable from the current survey. Areas thought to have been of generally higher archaeological potential, based on their topographic position, included field I, especially close to the high point of the field, and field L. Very few historic landscape features of note were present with in the study area. Those of most interest consisted of a number of ponds/quarries/marling pits of uncertain date. [Au(adp)] |
