Abstract: |
Groundworks for a new surgery exposed natural layers, middle Saxon features and layers including a ditch and a possible post built structure, medieval ploughsoil, early modern cellars and deposits, and modern layers. Prehistoric evidence included four flint flakes and possibly some early layers. Four small middle Saxon features were possibly post holes. Middle Saxon finds included animal bones, daub, oyster shells, pottery, and glass. [Au(abr)] |
