Abstract: |
A series of 10 trial trenches excavated on land adjacent to Church Farm, revealed the presence of a number of ditches and pits of archaeological interest. Finds from these features included, Roman tile and pottery, iron nails, burnt flint, struck flint and prehistoric pottery. The areas of well-preserved archaeology were buried beneath a thick deposit of hillwashed silt. [Au] |
