Abstract: |
Assessment of an area, the subject of a Woodland Grant Scheme application, identified that the application area contained a number of known archaeological sites. These included a number of distinct Mesolithic, Neolithic and Bronze Age flint scatters, cropmarks of possible Bronze Age date, evidence of possible Iron Age settlement activity and a number of concentrations of Roman pottery and building materials.
