Abstract: |
This archaeological assessment was prepared to draw together the results of an archaeological evaluation and documentary research. The site lay within an Archaeological Priority Zone designated for the medieval village of Morden. The results of the evaluation confirmed that no significant archaeology was present on site. A possible plough soil observed on site suggested that the site may have been in cultivation during the medieval as well as the post-medieval periods. Documentary research, focussing on cartographic evidence, was undertaken to place this data into the context of the medieval village. [Au(abr)] |
