Abstract: |
An archaeological watching brief was conducted during the excavation of 5 engineering test pits and selective foundation and service groundworks for the construction of a food store. A possible pond of late post-medieval date was identified to the south of the High Street, which was filled with organic rich waterlogged deposits. No other features of archaeological significance were recorded, extensive modern truncation had occurred across much of the site. [Au] |
