Abstract: |
The grotto, a Grade II listed building, was part of an ornamental post-medieval landscape. Prior to the investigation, the cave was filled up with up to 1.70 metres of infill. The removal of this revealed a well-built structure that showed few signs of recent collapse or subsidence. Part of the cave were to be retained as a bat habitat. [Au(abr)] |
