Abstract: |
An archaeological evaluation comprising nine trial trenches was carried out. One pit of Roman date was excavated, together with a short length of undated ditch. The northern half was lower, and comprised alluvium containing tow palaeochannels of probable natural origin. Both contained deposits of Romano-British tile, which was likely to have been brought from the nearby villa. [Au(abr)] |
