A watching brief was carried out in March 2004. A sword was found during excavation of the foundation trenches for new disabled ramps. It lay within the topsoil at a depth of approximately 0.20mThe swords was identified by the National Army Museum as being a British Army officers sword known as a spadroon. The pattern came into use in 1786 an continued in use to the late 1790's. [Au(adp)]
