Abstract: |
A watching brief was undertaken during development on a site which lay within the Roman town of CORINIUM, and within INSULA XXIII of the Roman street plan. A number of post-medieval deposits and a post-medieval well were identified. A number of residual sherds of Roman pottery were also found. The groundworks were probably of insufficient depth to intrude upon Roman deposits or Late Roman dark-earth deposits. [Au(adp)] |
