Abstract: |
During the course of the geophysical survey various phases in the development of the local landscape were revealed by this 20ha survey. Evidence of prehistoric, potential Roman, medieval and relatively modern activity was revealed. The Roman activity was based on the analysis of a large complex of anomalies that appeared to embody a well-defined multicellular structure with a plan strongly reminiscent of Roman villas known across Southern England.
