Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out on the groundwork associated with the construction of a single dwelling on Church Walk, Mildenhall. The site showed the potential for surviving evidence of medieval occupation but due to the degree of damage done to the subsoil surface prior to notification of the start of groundwork most of the evidence had been destroyed. However the general absence of finds on the spoil heaps did not suggest that numerous occupation features survived on the site prior to construction, and it was considered likely that the level of archaeological activity was limited.
