Abstract: |
Numerous archaeological features were recorded within the excavated area. These took the form of gullies, small and large pits, post holes, a possible sunken-featured building and a ring ditch. A moderate assemblage of pottery, a large collection of burnt flint and a small assemblage of animal bones and worked flint were recovered from these features. Interim spot dating of the pottery from features recorded during the evaluation, showed the pot to be early Saxon. [Au(adp)] |
