Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during groundworks for the construction of sports facilities, at a site where a ring ditch of possible Bronze Age date had previously been identified as a result of aerial photography. The probable line of a Roman road passed nearby, and a small number of prehistoric sites had been recorded in the wider surrounding area. During the watching brief, dumps of 19th and 20th century domestic refuse were observed, and four struck flints were recovered. [AIP] |
