Abstract: |
A watching brief was carried out during the excavation of foundation trenches for a residential development at a site which lay in the vicinity of an Anglo-Saxon cemetery. Evidence of medieval and possible prehistoric activity had been revealed during an evaluation at a neighbouring site. During the watching brief, two burnt flints which may have been indicative of prehistoric activity were recovered, but no archaeological features were observed. [AIP] |
