Abstract: |
This report presents an assessment of archaeological investigations (evaluation and open area excavation) undertaken in advance of road improvements at the A1 Langford turn. The majority of the data recovered from the investigations were associated with an Early-Middle Iron Age settlement (east of the A1) and more dispersed but contemporary activity (west of the A1). Although both were important in their own right the proximity of the two areas enhanced the potential to address a number of research objectives. [Au(abr)] |
