Abstract: |
Three linear features and six pits were discovered, mostly of Early Anglo-Saxon origin from pottery dating evidence. Although these represent contemporary settlement activity, it is likely to have been on the margins of such a settlement, which may have been to the east of this site. A large feature of unknown dimensions or purpose was also discovered, which may have been open during the Romano-British period. Evidence of Iron Age and Romano-British settlement activity has been discovered in the vicinity of this site. [Au(abr)] |
