Abstract: |
Archaeological observations recorded a few relatively modern features containing a pit overlaid by the remains of a sandstone pavement and a pit containing 18th century pottery. No evidence of the Anglo-Saxon cemetery known to exist to the north and north-east, nor any more of the medieval features identified in the evaluation of 1998 were recognised during the groundwork operations.
