Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of a housing development which lay 500m from a medieval moat. A number of finds and sites of other periods had been recorded in the surrounding area. During the evaluation, three prehistoric struck flints were recovered. Medieval remains included a ditch terminal, a post-hole, a possible hearth and pottery. It was concluded that the hearth may have been part of a dwelling such as a farmstead. [Au(adp)] |
