Abstract: |
The site was located within Lancaut Fort, a Scheduled Ancient Monument and Iron Age defended enclosure. Three trial trenches excavated prior to the construction of a garage and tennis court, uncovered part of the fort's outer ditch, backfilled in the 19th and 20th centuries and disturbed by modern services. The trenches measured 18m x 1.5m, and 5m x 1.5m. [Au(adp)] |
