Abstract:		 A watching brief was undertaken during works for the construction of a slip road and bridge over the A3, plus the erection of temporary buildings. A topographic survey was completed, recording post-medieval earthworks related to ironstone quarries. The quarries were empty and no archaeological features or finds were recognised or recovered during the watching brief. [Au(adp)]
