Abstract: |
Three trenches were excavated to further characterise and evaluate the archaeological survival at the former Cardinal Works site in Ipswich. Evidence of a full archaeological sequence dating from the Saxon period to the present day was revealed including a number of burials. Post-medieval remains were also recorded including foundations of the 19th century Iron Foundry and substantial remains of the Quaker Meeting House from 1743. [Au(abr)] |
