Abstract: |
The assessment was carried out in advance of a proposed foodstore development. The site is located in the centre of a medieval village, recent nearby excavations revealed evidence for Roman-post-medieval activity in the area. A Saxon child burial was also found in the cemetery associated with the nearby church, which could extend further then its current known boundaries. Although there was no evidence of archaeological deposits within the study area, there could be an earlier, predecessor of the current Hadleigh Hall building. [Au(adp)] |
