Abstract: |
An evaluation was carried out at the proposed site of a residential development, which lay close to a number of 15th to 18th century buildings. Floor levels dating to the 13th century had been recorded within one building. During the evaluation, two undated pits were recorded, one of which contained a small quantity of prehistoric worked flints. Fragments of post-medieval tile were also recovered. No evidence of a medieval street frontage or related occupation was observed. [Au(adp)] |
